Founder & Owner
Matt Burns
With roots in children’s programming dating back to 1995, Matt Burns has built a career around creating exceptional experiences for kids. After years of expanding Kidztown International across four continents, Matt shifted his focus in 2012 to direct a local Calgary before and after school program. That transition sparked a passion for out-of-school care.
Now, at the helm of Klub Before and After School Care, Matt pairs his extensive leadership experience with a community-first vision. Together with his dedicated team, he is building a program that kids can’t wait to come to, that parents trust, and that provides the ultimate care experience for the next generation.
Elboya Director
Taylor Doiron
As the very first staff member hired by KLUB back in 2014, Taylor has been a foundational part of our team from the beginning. Naturally competitive and an avid gamer, he brings a dynamic, strategic energy to the center, frequently introducing the children to the immersive world of Dungeons & Dragons and patiently guiding them through painting their own custom miniatures.
Over the years, he has found his perfect fit mentoring our older kids, combining his playful spirit with genuine leadership. Whether they are navigating a complex tabletop campaign together or just chatting about the day, Taylor is deeply passionate about positively impacting the next generation, using these shared hobbies to help them build confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of camaraderie.
Trinity Director
Lindsay Wood
Lindsay brings a wealth of empathy and experience to KLUB, rooted in her long history of volunteering with various children's organizations. As a gifted leader, she intuitively understands the delicate balance of mentorship, always knowing which hills to fight for and which to gracefully let go.
This profound emotional intelligence creates a highly nurturing environment where kids naturally feel safe and open up to her with ease. Lindsay is deeply passionate about positively impacting the next generation, viewing every shared conversation and quiet moment of connection as a vital opportunity to ensure children feel heard, emotionally supported, and empowered to navigate the world around them.
Windsor Director
Jane Martynychev
Jane's journey with KLUB started when she was originally hired as summer staff, but she quickly found her way to running one of our centers because of her exceptional competence and natural leadership. Her sharp organizational skills and reliability made her an obvious choice to step up and manage daily operations.
Beyond her ability to keep the center running smoothly, Jane is deeply passionate about positively impacting the next generation by fostering their physical and mental well-being. Drawing on her background in wellness, she integrates mindfulness and calming practices into the daily routine, dedicating herself to giving the children the tools they need to grow into balanced, resilient, and confident young individuals.
Windsor Kindie Director
Danae Savage
Danae brings an impressive breadth of experience to our team, backed by an extensive history of directing children's programs for hundreds of kids at a time. Despite her background in managing such large-scale operations, she remains a deeply personal and gifted leader with a natural ability to consistently encourage and uplift the staff under her guidance.
While she excels at overseeing the big picture, her true joy lies with our youngest attendees, bringing boundless energy and care to the kindergarten kids. Whether she is mentoring her team or getting down to eye level with the little ones, Danae is profoundly passionate about positively impacting the next generation, dedicating herself to providing a warm, supportive, and uplifting foundation during their most formative early years.

"Matt, I have some very serious concerns with your program that I would like to bring to your attention. My kids do not like to leave. Can you please hire staff who are less fun & engaging? Please minimize the crafts and activity choices as they are too interesting as is. Also limit the amount of physical activity, they are getting too much exercise. All kidding aside, I am extremely pleased with the program. I had reservations transitioning from 'home' based care to a school based program, thinking it would be a tiring & difficult day for the kids.
